Patent No. 10,780,952 describes systems for legally and safely mooring a houseboat on sloped shorelines by using anchors filled with water. This innovation means houseboaters can now easily and conveniently anchor just about anywhere (rock and sand shorelines) on Lake Powell without having to drill holes and use pins - a process that damages the Lake's shorelines; impairs its cultural, paleontological and scenic resources and; results in costly fines.
